Westminster Presbyterian Church in America has a long heritage dating back to the early part of the twentieth century. From early organizational roots in 1915 through the move to the present location in 1958, Westminster has always been a church committed to the Word of God as our final authority and the basis for all teaching. This commitment was illustrated in 1973 when Westminster became a founding member in the new denomination called the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Click here for a complete history of Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms represent the system of doctrine held to by the churches in the PCA. The Confession of Faith addresses every aspect of the Christian life and is supported by both Old and New Testament scripture.
Westminster is a member of the Blue Ridge Presbytery and the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America, and is a supporter of Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA and Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Directories of other PCA churches may be found at www.pcanet.org
